I would exercise daily and feel weaker. I would go on low-calorie diets and end up in a binge. I would waste my money on the latest fat burners that didn’t work, and I would even put the idea of losing weight aside at times because I wasn’t getting results in spite of everything I was trying.

Needless to say, there were times when I wanted to give up because I didn’t have a reliable source in a sea of overwhelming information. I needed to know what to do, what potholes to avoid, and I needed someone to motivate me when I was feeling lazy.

Since I didn’t have this support available to me when I needed it, I struggled for many years and failed the hard way before I finally reached my ideal weight. Not just as a blog that offered a few articles filled with formatted key words to get search engine traffic for ad campaigns, but as a real safe-haven. A community you can come back to when you feel like ditching your weight-loss efforts.

A place you can visit when the world is crushing down on you and you need to kick your motivation into high gear. A web site where you can read articles that inspire you when you’re frustrated and ready to throw in the towel, and a place where you can find the information you need any time you want—24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

This is why, once again, I strive to be as open and honest as I can when I write about a topic—even if it isn’t what people want to hear.
